Double Musings

springtime’s warm
has pulled my cat
between blind and pane
where wind does wane
and sun can glow
and she can stow
a furnace-full
of sweet, sweet lull
to save for later’s nap

~~~~~~~~~
the “T” of tired lay
where sun and shadow’d play
to span from garden cart
that gave the lawn a start
and choked the weeds
at heart
as if they had any-
more likely
they merely own
a brazen braun
that cracks the stone
that tries to block
each tiny stalk
which plans the alien
invasion
Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
