my own state

An hour has struck, a carriage sees its bare state
orchestrated chops see that heads meet their fate,
a legionaire wants to have his finger in every pie
for life is sweet until an axe cuts the poetic eye...

It is that glass isthmus where two equal bodies meet
the longer it stands, granulated salt runs to its feet
the hour has struck, melon coachmen turn into mice
new worlds are overcome by a paddy product, rice!

Xenophobia takes the place of a placid acceptance
midnight hour has struck for a gruesome sentence,
the drivers have returned to their natural state
a cindered girl runs away from a glass shoe slate...

A grandfather chimes, a mouse runs around
ring around a posy, so they all fall down,
one head less is worth two in a bush
the longer they stay, the more is hushed...

Quickly home, the prince carries the slipper
madonna eyes are transfixed at reruns of Flipper,
shift whistle blows, the crusade has ended
other puppet is propped up while fences are mended...
