Sometimes, love is an ache that feels

like air still waiting
in a place of moss and fern,
inveterate tree.

I picture that tree when I read this. I can see it now on a grassy bank. It leans a little toward the downhill side in a relaxed way, as if it were waiting for someone and not certain when they'll arrive.

Very potent message touches us in so few words.  You crammed quite a bit of feeling into them.  True to your wealth of talent, Martie.  By the way, I loved the link you sent me.  It was beautiful and incredibly touching.  Thank you.

Your poetic friend,

Kevin
