The Sun, along with it's horrid joy of Blaze,
Finally sets in the subtle skies.
Safe and alone, the Darkness comes out to play
   with childlike Stars or old.
With the world engufled in black, a maiden
   comes forth. Marvel and Pity.

Her face, soft and glowing, shines in an orb of Perfection.
Her hair, pure and stright, dances on my face
   in twinkling Melody.
Her silent cries are clear and desperate. Soften the
   coldest Hearts.

I, with the world, can only watch with regreat.
She dims and fades, waning as the Night loses hold.
One last smile she gives and vanishes. Sweet and Painful.
The Sun has risen now.
______________

There's a beautiful moon tonight. It's a soft crescent, pale and perfect. Don't get to see pretty skies at night very often in a city
