Did You Know I Rain?

I have felt you in my bones
and recognize your voice
softly above the thunder
my sheets scream your skin
where loneliness and alone
is far deeper than the darkness
night is just the other side of day
finding life slowly suspended here
in a fresh supply of daily water
I soon need to release this pour
rhyming patterns of droplets fall
no need to deny the action of clouds
dried from a drum in sky beat
distance is such a heavy storm
when lightening strikes with rain

helen,
I did not know you rain. But I did know you rule!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Don't know how I missed this one, Helen, but I'm glad I saw it.  The anaologies were great!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
