A Simple Plea
(A Rondelet)
````````````
Let me believe
in something worth suffering for.
Let me believe,
cross the desert on hands and knees
in reach of distant ocean's shore
and drink of you and nothing more,
Let me believe.
I know nothing of forms and such, only what is contained therein. To me, doing forms is like building ships in bottles. Tis enough for me to craft a raft.
Nicely done.
that you do too!
A beautiful write sitting next to a
Nicely done and this form is very difficult
yet you did it with perfection.
Hi Dawn ... a lovely bit of writing with a huge message in just a few words. My favorite type of poem.
I love rondelets, they're one of my favorite forms.  And this is so well done.  It's inspiring.
When we believe,
the seraphim stand lost in awe.
When we believe,
angels themselves cannot receive
such wondrous gifts-beyond the law:
his grace, his love, is what we draw
when we believe.
