I'm Weak!
By the light of golden arches, we consume our fats and starches.
Oblivious, the public marches, like the faithful to the shrine.
“I don’t feel like cooking, honey, and the leftovers smell funny.
We can use the grocery money. For tonight, fast food is fine.
Tomorrow, we’ll eat healthy, just this once, fast food is fine-
And a whopper sounds divine.”

Cheddar fries and onion rings, greasy, double-bacon things,
Yummy, gooey chicken wings.Please pass the extra salt.
Batter dip the deep-fried fish, supreme pizza please, (deep-dish),
Put on onion, pickle, relish, plus a double-chocolate malt.
On second thought, a diet soda, I don’t want the malt-
(Then if I’m large, it’s not my fault).

Sure, my arteries are clogging, but I can’t stop chili-dogging,
Cholesterol is cataloguing, I’m a junk food-eating mess.
My blood pressure is a wonder.My pulse, like rolling thunder,
But it’s just this stress I’m under, to transcend compulsiveness.
My revolutionary new plan to defeat compulsiveness-
Exercising more, and eating less……
