+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ Leaves entwine on willowed limbs, Day Lilies burgeon and bloom, Grass grows green as the Emerald Isle, As May makes way for June. Irises wave their purple flags, In the breezy, springtime air, Lilacs blossom in a show of colours, In a fragrant, floral affair. Cobalt skies go on forever, The world is fresh and new, The air is filled with scents of promise, As I savor Spring's revue. JL ~ Years ago, while camping, I had crawled into the tent for the night and put the hood of my sweatshirt up and tied it securely to keep the bugs out. What I hadn't realized was that I had securely tied a June Bug in my hood! When it made its presence known I was near hysterical and couldn't get the hood down. I was bouncing around that tent going bananas ~ just a screamin' and a shriekin'! My husband was moanin' and groanin' trying to get me to stay still. I'm sure the other campers were thinking the action in our tent was from another activity! lol EA |
