Chasing the Clouds

Just a moment's break in spirit,
the force of nature left lacking,
unrestrained resources of the night
keeping dreams from behind closed eyes.

Mental messages written in exclamations,
transmitted by thunderous applause
as the light danced across the walls
striking at the sounds of midnight.

A walk through darkness, the hallways
never ending, intersecting the day's warmth
with a chill to remind, prompting the feed of tomorrow,
the need to collect one's energy...
knowing.

A thunderous applauses can break spirit
And disturb the reflecting of the sole and light shines on it
In a flash
As the little ones dash
For cover conveying their fear
As the clapping draws near

Dark rooms and hallways
Strobe and shimmer
Quaking as nature plays
Outside not to enter

another fine poem for this reader to enjoy

PG,
Last nights thunder and lightning show kept anyone from sleeping..
Not sure which pounding was greater, that of last night or that resulting in my head today.

Thanks for reading

M ..... "the need to collect one's energy.." Nicely, and simply put. How true. Bob
