Unrefined

A dream of mind of kindest kind
Painted shadows unrefined
Swept into a fires ring
Lighting red a flaming spring

The golden mornings sparkled dew
The mist had lift the sun was new
The air was full of precious prime
The hourglass had stopped its time.

Its how a soul can catch of wrought?
The weightless weight of flighty thought
The vapors of a living crest
The essence of a thing so blest

Yet there she stays before my eye
Beyond a heartbeats heave of sigh
Impressions of a field of feel
Hallucinations cast of real

Touché of an epee blade
Stands an altar I have made

All hallucinations are real. GREAT poem, nicely written, and nicely ended.

and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me...

Those moment betwixt dreams and real
Where we more sense than feel
When those castles crash from the sky
With the opening of an eye.

This brought to mind the movie I watched over the weekend - Master and Commander  Throughout the movie, you never saw the face that went with the hand that turned the hourglass at the last moment before the last grain fell into the past hour.  Sometimes, the hand even "clinked" the glass to get the last grain of sand to "hurry".  And I thought..."what would happen if that particular man were to be gunned down in battle.  Who would watch the keep of time, then?"

A good, pondering poem, Sy...thank you, m'friend.

Good morning, Mr. T.!

These following lines take my breath away:

"The golden mornings sparkled dew
The mist had lift the sun was new
The air was full of precious prime
The hourglass had stopped its time."

~ Precious momes, indeed!

Have a glorious day of golden light!
