You call me here in the name of understanding
Into this druid valley that speaks to you of longings past
And I stand here mesmerized in the breadth of stillness
Thinking of the words descript in their forbidden will
I see with innocent eyes the vapors rising over green-scapes
Where you will build your home and tend a private garden

I am not the incarnation of another past…asking rebirth
I implore nothing, nor do I require black to paint my intent
The paths I have walked were choices, oozing with potential
You call me here to see the worst, dressed to kill
Teeth gleaming, talons drawn…and I bare my shoulders
Take me then, as I go limp in reach of blossoms

Take my Cinderella smile, only a loincloth draping treasures
My compass primed within, by hands that knew my destiny
A purpose that I came to claim, and walk in real pride
My vision relishes a see through glimpse of once posted territory
You summon me not into darkness, for I hold your hand in the light
And I need not forgive you of the learning curve that brought us here

I look into your eyes a genuine smile and kiss your hands within my own
Your courageous love that came, as but one path was never ours to claim
We find our way by call and echo through bramble tracing every crumb
Healing the scratch and bruise of rock and stumble, prevailing every moments drum
Then slay your dragons, play your winsome games, with open arms love leans
You call me here with all your heart on fleeting winds through lasting dreams

always, always you stun me with the honesty of your work and the grace with which you present it is a testimony to your skill.

Beautiful, yet again, Kathleen.

your words echo the wonder of that feeling of love's transience and beauty when found, if only for a moment's passing

I do so enjoy reading your work.  It evokes a different time and feel in its beauty.
