A Japanese Float

You see them in the shops. It's not the same
as finding one.
I know that. So,
once or twice each year
I show up at the coast to search.
Lately, though, I've reached the point
where I walk more than look.
It seems so simple.
Wake up early. Shower. Shave. Brush my teeth
and use mouth wash because, well, ....

... Once I left my name and number in the sand.
I'd passed a woman, far down the beach,
and knowing that sooner or later
she would turn back ...

... Like I was saying. You see them in the shops.
But it's not the same as finding one.

Love the way you tell a story...
and leave us wanting so much more...
as though your mind wanders off onto another thought.
Much enjoyed.

Touching. Honest. Real. Introspective. Skilful. Emotive. Visual. Tactile.

You just can't do much better than that.
