2 birds are stamping the sky; no more relevant this day than any other, in the world that claims them;

there's a blaring light that divides the dark and the pale assembly line of clouds that congregate in indecision;

something tells me to look up;

i can no more understand its call than any of the other signs, premonitions and messages from above that are fodder for my impressionable mind;

maybe i am hallocinatory or bipolar or mad;
or am i truly in tune with the trees; have they become
the only world that brings me the comfort of my own, as i lay down beneath them;

i'm mindswept............

in a stream of cirrus clouds
freefalling one by one as they take me on a journey;

i descend,
        tumbling backwards,

         feeling light as the fallout of petals
            as the dandelion is wished upon,

feeling the kiss that gave my feet wings; a kiss from which i've never fully recovered;

it's just a sky, isn't it?
variations of the same theme;
from the pallor of an albino face in its fragile beauty,
to the black curtains ,the color of coals,in a twisted cave that leads to the nightworld;

can we really paint our own sky?

everything washes to blank now as the seams rip open,

rain falls;

bathing  the grass in a sea of green

laughing with glee
on someone's laundry
that hangs from the windows
facing the railroad tracks,

traffic begins again;

as i'm left with both
the insignifcance and profundity
of one compelling moment

I feel the exact same way about the ocean..especially at night with the moon the only light..

  I loved this.

sometimes I think I may be bipolar too, but doesn't that have a happy side to it at least some of the time?

If you are mad, then we all should be.  This was an exquisite moment of reality shared!

Michele, I really understand this, and like Susan, I also feel this way about the waves and the beach at night.
Very good writing, my friend, as always.
