Okay, I love the martial arts and hang out with a group of wild and crazy freaks who are just like me -- we play with guns, knives, whips, sticks, and other martial tools; we practice the Filipino martial arts which entails the use of weapons; as well as just enjoying shooting up the range.   You'd never know I'm a peace loving girl with the heart of a poet and wouldn't hurt a fly.  Any how, taking a risk here and I hope you enjoy the humor in this . . .

It is only you and I
Here together at this time
The gauntlet dropped, the challenge ripe

30 feet stands between us
The cool draft of distance stirring
Yet you taunt me in your stillness

The steel feels cool in my hands
Smooth and seductive beneath my finger
As oh so slowly I caress the trigger

A burst of flame thrusts forth
Lead leaping from the chamber
Speeding forth across the expanse

Sound resonates and echoes
As matter splinters and shatters
And, as Victor, I loose laughter

But once is not enough
You beckon me still
Again, and Again, and Again

'Till my hand aches in pleasure
And my chest swells with pride
For you, my friend -- The Target

Have most surely died.

Never hesitate the new...for in it is the beauty of adventure.  Martial arts are all about willpower, self control and the ballet of body and mind.
Wonderful theme for your new offering.

Oh I like this.  It's wickedly exciting, with a smile-some ending.

I'm glad for the reception.  It is true that the martial arts are beautiful -- a fluidity like dance.  One of the reasons I started.  As far as the shooting goes, I find it a test of skill between yourself and the target and it is quite enjoyable.

Smiles -- Susan
