where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2004-05-03 12:52 PM

This will never be easy,
it cannot be simple.

I have to remember
that I'm sharing these stars,
with millions of other beings.

Wishes
do not
go that far
with such
faded breathing.

"It's been awhile,
since we've spoken"
,
I whispered
in the safety of my
own bed...
I ponder if
the sky can hear me
through the glass..

I promised I'd never ask for much,
or anything at all.
I swore off the walking on
eggshells,
and I tiptoe around time,
still.

Tonight, I can't forgive,
or forget the tears I shed
because of the words I
never heard,
but maybe you're just imperfect..
Just a flawed being like everyone else.
But I can't pardon that
this time.. it's too easy to use
as an excuse.

This can't ever be simple,
I am not immune, in fact,
I have never felt
this vulnerable since
the last time I heard my heartbeat.

"All I need is for you to listen,
this will not be long, I promise..
If I say goodbye in due time I know
that things will be different.
However, my misery enjoys company but I
can't be miserable with someone who is
unsafe in my skin.
All I need is
for you to listen, for you to hear that
no longer will I shed tears in the face
of a challenge, I have no room to be weak.
Tell me if I am
safe in the absence..Tell me silently that
it all depends
upon
one
big step and
if I can survive the fall,"

Nothing is simple,
answers are still waiting on questions
that are worth it.

How can I ever be more
than just a worthless shell,
if I keep on
secluding myself?

I miss the silence,
I miss the lunar flowers...
I yearn for you
to never come back,
and leave me with the sky.

Incredible write...straight from your heart to your pen.  I felt every word...the sincerity, the pain, the longing.  Saving this one....   ~K~

Ok, Meg, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite poets, your words shine with the brilliance of poets past, you remind me alot of Michael Anderson, but in your own unique way.

Oh Meg! You make me want to go through these pages of blue and copy and paste all your stuff, then print it out so I may have my own little book to read...

Kaoru. You flow so well. The whole time I was waiting for each new line with excitement. Before I even joined I've read some of your stuff. It's awesome and diverse. You have an orginal uniqueness I adore and even faint after.

too good for this mere mortal

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...

I remember the first few times I read you, and i had to go tell raph to go read you. Even now, your writes still have the same effect. I want to yell at people to read you.

really, one of your best.
