Of all the places in the world
A bee could stick, it stuck on me.
For just a sec to scratch my head,
I lifted cap to wipe the sweat
And my bald-spot was his to see.
*
Glistening with perspiration,
Shining skin, an ugly flower;
Yet zeroed in the hornet-bee
Like it were earth and he,
A falling drop of April shower.
*
Landing square without a skid,
It sent its venom-message, clear
Ouch! I answered to his pinch
And though I swatted him to death,
It was to late to save my pate..
For his tail still quivered-centered,
In a ring of swelling red;
On top of my bald head.

Ouch, indeed!
And it's good that you take it with a certain humour!
But you see, there always good sides to every medal, at least it produced a lovely poem!

Ouch!  What a place to get stung!
Yes..ice may help.
You do have a good sense of humour about it.
Hugs~

Ford...A gardener has to put up with a sting or two...believe me, I know.  I enjoyed the humor in this.

Thank you.

What are you my twin? You affect me like you are my twin.

Thank you all for the comments

The poem is written to be funny, even if the topic is not...I am glad that all of you got a little chuckle out of this one....

btw
The sting is better now, I will be more cautious in the future when I take off my hat..

Again, thanks for the replies

OUch!  Hope you're not allergic like me.  I have a great fear of those monsters and they seem to know it!

Froggy--sunshine--iliana......
Thank you for your replies

I have no alergy to bee stings..
But the little devils seem to seek me out when the weather is warm...
