Where We Belong

Today
We are finally where we belong.
We've found that time
can heal some wounds.
And in this moment
we can reach past the years
that lay like shadows between us.

This feeling
Of your skin against mine
is all that I remember -
All that I have dreamed
since you came back with
eyes and heart wide open.

Wrapped
In ribbons of arms and legs
We present ourselves a gift,
one to the other.
Our loving in this moment
is a kind of forgiveness
in itself.

We are
Beyond communicating voice -to-ear,
The words we exchange mouth- to mouth
are far more honest;
Quiet murmurs belly-to-belly
can tell us more than
a thousand written pages.

Past
And future dissolve away
When tongue meets tongue
in passionate search.
We swallow the present
in hungry mouthfuls,
Catching every careless crumb
to lick the moment clean.

Conversation
Becomes music in motion,
a body symphony orchestrated
by lusty tongues and limbs.
Love is the conductor
And we can hear our hearts beating
like grateful applause
in our ears.

Passion
Builds to its inevitable climax
And in that moment
there is no conversation,
no music -
There is only the gift laid bare,
just the two of us
and peace.

Can't tell you how much this one touched me.

5 months ago I found (or he found me) someone I knew 13yrs before..

And this time...everything is right.

I loved how you wrote it.
