As Words Become My Guide

From heart and soul they flow
when shapeless they take form
Story from them doth grow
as words become my guide

Slowly complete a line
breathing into new life
Order I must assign
that each work in accord

Each chapter must begin
giving it good balance
Pictures of truth and sin
thrown in for a scandal

Each page takes its shape
vision becomes sculpture
Painting a new seascape
with dream love scenery

Each hour as words increase
feelings become intense
A novel hides beneath
words that shape the body

Beautifully said Karen,  as words build
slowly into something very special.

Sorry I haven't been around much but now that I am semi-retired I have been putting all my time into writing a novel...what an experience that is...Thank you so much for responding...

Hello Karen
