Pleistocene Hippy (Hippy-Hop)
By: Noah Eaton
4/26/04

(Peace everyone,
this is Mistletoe Angel,
goin’ with the flow,
psychedelic style,
let’s blow our minds,
either you’re on the bus,
or you’re off the bus,
but we’re all beautiful people,
and don’t worry,
about being on your best behavior,
love is for everyone,
and I’m all about love,
cuz…

I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.
I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.

Well, it all started back at Mile High,
When I found my voice and made my bold swan dive,
Into the fountain of my hearts eyes,
Boy, what I’d find was one pleasant surprise,
cherry cola twilights, breakfast at midnight,
blowing bubbles and hopping in one for a ride,
breathing in, I calm my body,
breathin’ out, I smile consciously,
root tootin’ my living kazoo like Wavy Gravy,
go off like a cuckoo and blow a raspberry,
My playground is my Camp Winnarainbow,
Goin’ anywhere, doin’ anything, searchin’ my soul,
Puttin’ on my acappellalooza,
And lettin’ the rainbow family put the hullabaloo in the bravura,
Sweet sixteen, I went down and out, made the rounds,
Made the morning mecca just to twist and shout,
gathering up the tribe, and I am proud,
just to get to sing this song out loud...

I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.
I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.

Hey, I’ve seen things,
That you may never see,
Cuz my eyes are submerged,
Deep in this kaleidoscope sea,
For in everything,
I see possibility!
Well, I suckle each moment like Mexican candy,
And I lose myself in this Ron Thelin fantasy,
Tossing my sunbeam Frisbee,
Making a stride in my Teva’s like Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky
Love is a laser, it stun me like a Taser,
And I keep lookin’ up like Jack Stargazer,
Finding my place in the cosmos without waiver,
Surfing through the constellations like Silver Surfer,
Cuz my congregation is here at the Love-In,
I’ve got cats on the crash pad who know what’s happenin’
Sayin’, "We are stardust, we are golden,
Now follow me, let’s get back to the garden. "

I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.
I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.

Solace ain’t with the demagogue,
It’s livin’ in the Whole Earth Catalog,
And I’m an easy rider all rarin’ to go!
I’m dressed to grill,
I’m gristing the mill,
Spreading patchouli and lotus blossom,
All over society’s ills,
I'm smothered, covered, deadhead undercover,
I could be your sunshine daydream, your best lover,
I'm a rucksack maharajah in a birthday suit,
And I ain't even in the mood for Trivial Pursuit
It's all about going with the flow,
having your mind blown, going on cruise control,
I can rock the mike like Cronkite,
and my body sings Day-Glo in the blacklight,
every morning at 6, I get up, doin' my asanas,
let my hair down and transmute my chakras,
a hemp necklace around my neck, love beads tied on my wrist,
I make the scene as if it it's Greenwich Village,
sippin' jasmine phoenix pearls at Dushanbe Teahouse with the beatniks,
strummin' my guitar vibes at the military-industrial complex,
radiating with all the beautiful people in my threads,

I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.
I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.

My culdesac is my Haight-Ashbury,
I daydream between pages of the Crawdaddy,
and patiently waiting for my magnolia butterfly,
to lay on me a love so divine,
who can festoon flowers throughout my heart
who can strum my heart like Ravi Shankar,
until then I seek the Rainbow Dancer as my guide,
a lovesick spirit on a celestial ride...

He says,
"Inspired by the rainbow in the skies,
the colors are like candy
for your eyes...
yes its your own rainbow, so delightful,
vivid and divine,
the 'Bow promises
that storms become sunshine!"

I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.
I’m just a pleistocene hippy,
With a spine filled with kundalini,
And I’m off in a jiffy to change the world.

Come on, children,
come on out and play!

"You'll find something that's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20

Noah -- you have so much diversity in the wide range of things you write about, you hippie angel you!  Enjoyed this immensely and hope you can change the world -- so many good lines.  I really wish you would put some of your music with your poems as I bet this one is a song, for sure!

yeah you should throw in some music with a lot of your poems...i enjoyed reading this one

Can you hear my cries, can you hear my pleads, will you watch me burn...or would you bleed for me?

Noah, I absolutely adore this audacious write! Your creative turn of phrases blew my mind! You are brill!

"every morning at 6, I get up, doin' my asanas,
let my hair down and transmute my chakras,
a hemp necklace around my neck, love beads tied on my wrist,
I make the scene as if it it's Greenwich Village,
sippin' jasmine phoenix pearls at Dushanbe Teahouse with the beatniks,
strummin' my guitar vibes at the military-industrial complex,
radiating with all the beautiful people in my threads,"

~ What's not to love! The inner child in me wants to come out and play with the inner child in you!
Holding Hands

Love & hugs from the both of us!
