There comes a time…

…when all that you’ve learned
is not nearly enough to help you
in what you’re about to experience

…when looking back, one last time
won’t keep it from being the last time

…when your reflection looks older
than you do

…when your parents words
echo through your mouth

…when all the benefit of doubt
won’t change who a person really is

…when images fade faster than
your memory of them

…when friendships become lessons
and lessons become experience

…when time no longer matters.
