Mind Yours

You said it the other day, "what friends are for"
It stays with me, more and more.
"...to miss each other" when one can't be there.
So true, you know, these feelings you share.

If I could spend, a day in your mind,
I wonder just what it is that I'd find.
I promised these words from words that you shared.
So true, you know, these feelings you bared.

My bags are packed on this day before,
turning back time, debating no more.
My dreams on delay, untitled in dress,
but to the friendship it wears, I acquiesce.

For it seems to be timeless, always there when in need.
A heart full of kindness, tender in seed.
Fulfilling that warmth, the positives you see,
facing what comes, and what comes facing me.

No stumbling or faulting nor compromised word.
Approachable, affable your mind opened, I'm heard.
So I toast you this friendship and when I'm not there...
These words are for you, "mind-yours" in share.

M

Darn it Karilea,
they are all lined up
staring me in the face...
not much needed to finish...but family matters keep me busy and I will be gone for a few days and I just don't know what those days ahead will be like.

When I come back I am going to try and finish them, although I will have company here...but I promise..this time for sure.

I know she's in good hands...
and she is exactly where she

Ah, "friendship". Emerson felt so strongly about it that he devoted an essay to it. Cicero wrote about it. And C.S. Lewis, in his book, "The Four Loves", devotes pages and pages to "Friendship". Nicely done. Nicely done.  Bob

Thank you Lee, for reading and sharing your thoughts with me. Been a tough ten days or so and I just wanted someone to know how much their time given to me was appreciated.
