Of Cornucopia

Cornucopia holds no treat
It lacks the food of mental meat
It will not feed this bird of nest
Nor build my strength to meet the test

Perhaps a unicorn is need
To ride the mist of mental deed
To clear the day of clouds of gray
To show the rainbow of my way

I’ve tried the hide, seven league boots
And sounded horns of many hoots
Peeled the apple to the core
Could not find forevermore

I search within a doldrums sea
Where sun and thirst has shriveled me
Felt the vacuum of the past
And lack a line and hook to cast

The yin and yang has lost its tang
I’ve lost the sound of bells that rang.

Well rhymed and metered...

Peeled the apple to the core
Could not find forevermore

~ I enjoyed that couplet the best.

I've called on Merlin for you, our Sy,
that a unicorn will soon heed his plea
for you to fly, travel far and wide
to find those mists far out at sea
