We don’t dance you and I
Not the way lovers do
We don’t hold each other as the music starts
And together beautifully move
We won’t be a couple full of class
Drawing admiring glances
As we take to a low lit floor
And move perfectly through several dances
We won’t grow old and move in time
As younger couples exclaim
How they hope in years and years to come
That they someday will do the same
But the rhythm we share is sweeter than music
As we walk through life in syncopated motion
We draw those glances of admiration
Simply through mutual devotion
And the years to come like those that passed
Will be filled with laughter and tears
And always holding the others hand
As we share our hopes and fears
We need not choreographed steps in time
To draw admiring stares
We need only what we have had all along
Each other’s love and care
And when the years pass we’ll have no dance
That someday comes to an end
We instead will have eternal love
And each other as a friend.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

Thank you all!  When we first married I had hoped to talk my husband into dancing lessons, but well...I'm not sure me feet could take it, and later I realized there is more than just dancing...

The way you move me
I walk with your shadow
With your silhouette
Leave the light on
It always comes
Back to you

you swept me away with this one; I'd hope my better half would dance, too, but what you're saying is so much more important.  Enjoyed!

He swept me away long ago...and though there is no dancing I hope the music never stops.
