I like truffles.

Bitter cocoa powder outside,
Dark velvety texture shellside,
Delicately sweet and smooth inside.

Rolling the bitterness,
Savoring the sting -
Makes the pleasure of passing inwards.

The harshness gives complexity,
The contrast shows character,
And the combination is sublime.

No sugary processed toffees for me;
Give me truffles, lay them on,
I can handle them.

the pungi fungi...a most flavor filled write.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...
