He wrote to her of himself in lines on a page
Freed all his emotions from their gilded cage
Took to the air like birds on the wing
Looking for a place to nest in every little thing

She reads the words of her beauty, classic and fair
Fingers brush through her soft and feathery hair
A smile that speaks of beseeching wings of the dove
And soft calls on a day that brings a hint of love

The words cannot explain all there is to know
Of how much he lives to see her glow
All he can offer are symbols and signs
But it all comes out as so many disjointed lines

to me, it came out just perfect...love doesn't judge...and I bet, she feels the very same way

Sir, your lines appear to be justified, at least, to me.  So glad to see you come home, again...

it's about time!

Hey you...

I always feel awkward and fumbled when attempting to express the voice of the soul too...

As much as I love the English language, when it comes to love and loving, I find it pretty much inadequate, m'self.

I think you did a pretty good job of expressing that frustration here.

Welcome back, Jer.
