That heat is born of love
Some kind of casual affair could not conclude
The definition perfect in its smallness and simplicity
Where chemical reactions drive the blood
And keys are given in a velvet-glove
And fire starts in low warm coals
About the lower hemispheres of desire
Building breadth and fanning flames
Not flash or detonation, not strike or run over
But heat…warm and willing to listen and lather
Yet all is seen with eyes on gain and consequence
Perceptions that alone is sin and slight is better than not
And strange that warmth remains beyond your linger
If that is all there was, a dollop on a sweetened finger
My taste is far more sensual than spattered art
Technique of tempest drool with little spark
The all of sacred learning boils within
To not regret the un-condition that my love is in
For you are more than that inside my soul
That heat is born of love
That we are filled and whole
