standing on a shadow's lace

Tissue Paper Surprise

you thought you had
wrapped me all up
a tissue papered
gift given
but a present has to
be present on
an opening of
an offering surrendered
arranging the uncovering
of skin neatly unfolded
softly thin left alone
in an empty room
now who
is really surprised

I'm sure that room won't always be empty. But it will always be a wonderful gift. Peace.
