With Halo and Wings

She takes my breath away,
the jaundice making her look tan
so early in this Spring, and me so pale
and just a touch jealous.

I see her years on me,
the wrinkling of illness staring back.
Her thinness scaring me
into thoughts of how to feed her,
emotionally and physically,
when the want is not there.

We spend the time
that passes too quickly, together
as I am on my knees
weeding in the sunshine.
A need of mine to feel needed, to task for her
to show I care and can be with her
when others are afraid to watch
the weakening.

Yesterday was ten hours of too little, too much.
The ride home wondering,
if she would someday
be the angel on my shoulder
helping me weather my storms.

M

My thoughts and prayers are still with your sister...and you as well, Maureen.
This must be so very difficult for you.
Heart hugs.

To have lived the dream of a love so true...
is to have seen a glimpse of heaven.

Maureen, your angel she shall be. In fact, in some ways she will be even closer to you in her passing than your sister could ever possibly be now.

May the angels surround you both, and all of your love ones, with the loving Light of God.

Your words I felt to the very core of my being.

Peace, Love & Life Eternal,
Linda

Maureen,
She will, will whatever you will her to do.
It's all up to you.

Nancy, Linda, Sy, Dawn, thank you for your support...

Toe, I am hoping it didn't bring you painful memories...it is hard for my sister's adult children to see her this way (all sons)and even though they live closer, I see her more than they do, and I try to keep her busy so she doesn't feel depressed.

Thank you, Dixie, JL, and jellybeans ...she is my only sister and we have so much in common.
Thanks again, everyone for reading my moodiness.

M
