~*~*~

'Tis the season of change
the Spring of 2004
and it's time to move on
to where, I don't know,
I don't know where to go.

The road stretches long
burning rubber
despising the smell,
where fumes rise
like angry tears
melting the asphalt.

Divided, black and blue
each mile a marker
without direction
counting the days
however much time
give or take.

From here to there
and years from now
I'll straigten it out
but I'm scared to cross the line
afraid I'll bottom out.

And if I do
I won't turn around
or look in the mirror
to see if you'll follow
I'll just drop off
and take it from there
as faraway as I can.

Sorry folks, but tonight, there is no light~ ugh!!

can see this
the way you drive
(grin)

highways are the best lovers
they are endless
and most of the time
you don't have to come back

(old harley proverb I think)

enjoyed this Bluzzzzzy

Not a very nice place to be ~ I know! ~ I've been there! I believe that I would have healed more quickly and with less scars if I could have written my feelings down at that time, as you now have!

Write that man right out of your hair, Lovely Lori!

Big, warm hug!!!

I hear your voice and suddenly
I'm falling, lost in a dream
The echo of our souls meet

ya know what the moth says...
when in doubt.... head for the beach.

... and it's you ... you ... you ... you ...
the light changes when you're in the room.

I'm sorry too..... wish I could make it better.

As for me, I'm much fonder of this kind of burning rubber ~~ /main/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&number=59&topic=000207

Thank you all....
the cross roads seem long,  and a bit treacherous, but I will get there yet.

Until then, warm hugs all around~

Thank you Reb, I shall heed your advice and go in hot pursuit, I can do that.     I saw one of those white washed signs at an antique store the other day that read, "a summer place" so I bought it to hang in my new place, when I get there..... I've had the song in my head ever since.  (Probably not much of a compliment to you or Thomas)

And the sweet secret of
a summer place
is that it's anywhere
when two people share
all their hopes
all their dreams
all their love....

You are such a nice man, thank you again~

bluesy,
writing does seem to burn off some of the hurt i think.  I wish i would have discovered it when i needed it.  I'm glad you have, and you continue to write.  Your writing expressed well.
