Sitting quietly
in the midst of her possessions
she thought of him and asked herself
what are all these worth, if
she were to lose him

Can even one of
these things return to her
the love that he shows to her so freely
in every way possible
that he can

He shows to her his love
in every action he makes, every
word he utters to her, in every touch he
gives to her, he shows and speaks
to her, his love

Will she keep
delaying the full commitment
until she has lost the person who loves
her more than she has ever been
loved before by anyone

Will she lose the one person
she has loved more than she has
ever loved any man before, she wonders
while sitting quietly in the midst
of her possessions
