Insatiable Love for You

I can see that rich sweetness in your eyes so true,
I can smell your delicate scent in my mind’s memory too…
Being without you makes for a sad and lonely tune,
I sing and hum it daily, when I reminisce about you…

I hear your soft voice chiming, and your captive silly laugh,
reminding me of how warm you were, just on my behalf.
Why was I so blind, and so miserable not to see,
just how sweet and loving, you really were to me?

I can only guess for now, if your eyes are still as bright,
and hope for you, someone special, to enjoy that glowing light.
I would end this rhyme right now, if there were not this want in me,
this insatiable love for you, will never set me free...

I am captive by my thoughts of you, and surely always will,
until I die, then beyond, I await that moments thrill.
To see you again, to love you again are my prayers and hope to be,
and to someday hear you say, you are still in love with me.

I love your rhyme and rhythm on this one, JL.
And, I hope that your love returns. I know of that
"insatiable love" with someone, too.
Hugs,
Ethel

Unfortunately sometimes its only when we lose someone that we finally relize just what it was we had in the first place. You have written this so very well.

JL, this is one of my favorites of yours
Penetrating!  Gives much food for thought

You know, knowing you the way I do, I bet she's still in love with you and always reserves a special place for you in her heart...it just wasn't the right time regarding the maturity you both lacked then.  Thats not an insult, don't ya know...love to you and yours....Lee J.
