That cowboy hat turned into view
and everyone knew that it was you
stepping out with that southern strut
undivided attention was a must.

Laughter began as a few friends shared
eyes twinkling of friendships care
that booming voice, that southern drawl
singing Tracey Lawrence, a hush did fall.

Paint me a Birmingham
the words sung of the man
there with that glow of smile
we all enjoyed it for awhile.

Come back to visit soon our Texas friend
we'll be waiting to see you once again.

(with Love to our cowboy friend Mark
more affectionately referred to around
here as "Tex")

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...
{Trace Adkins}

Aren't Texicans wonderful!  My own friends were "transplanted" to Houston several years ago...and I so enjoyed their visit "home" over the weekend.  I'm so glad you wrote this for your friend...now, you've mailed it to him, RIGHT?

Thanks everyone. He's true Texan to the core. We fondly call him the stubborn red headed Texan!!  Karilea, he hails from Corpus Christie..lol...but his dad lives in Kansas....
coincidence maybe?
