You Can Never Question The Ocean

you are a salty ocean
   so deep and so blue
      a question that I
         have no answers to
I look across you and see
            vastness in unlimited view
      calm mixed so perfectly
stirring up waters of commotion
              with the angry crashing
                of your mixed emotions
                      tideland tips in waves
                push and pulling motions
I am a bird bouncing
         in flight dancing on wings
drawn to the water and oh
how it sings how it sings
in the surge of cool spray
wondering what it brings
today I will drift off course
floating on the undercurrent of tide
there are no answers in the gulf
        here where this journey glides
             flowing to the surging music
liquid notes played on this ride

Why do you crawl across the sand
In an hour you’ve reached where I stand,
Why do you spray me with mist,
Tell me please I must insist.
Why once touching me do you recede
My longing for you to stay you don’t heed?
What can I shout above you voice
Is there any words, is there any choice?
Why won’t you listen to me?
Are you only there to see?

I have one thing to say, and it's a major compliment coming from me.

In my humble opinion, JIMMY would approve.

--so long as he got his Cheeseburger in Paradise.

I believe the most important component of a poem is rhythm. Rhythm is the heartbeat of a poem. It is what makes poetry poetry.
