There was a time words came so easy
I seemed to have so much to say
But the well has since dried up
Words have eluded me this day

My mood is grey and sombre
I compliment the darkened sky
There is no wind beneath my wings
And I am unable to fly

I feel I've been abandoned
Stranded on a desert isle
Awash with waves of uncertainty
I have found no reason to smile

I feel like a once prized fighter
Who has no more strength to fight
I'm like a ship lost at sea
Searching for a guiding light

I am covered by a blanket
As I grapple with my sorrow
But I am able to look forward
And hope the tide might turn tomorrow

* * *

"Love is the lifeline I cling to
when grief threatens to pull me down
into eternal darkness"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Well these words seemed to have flowed effortlessly, my friend, so I think what ever "loss" you feel you've had, it's all uphill now...beautiful picture too.

How many, I wonder,
grasp these very words,
this very moment...

a heartfelt, soul-sounding,
sensitive poem, my friend..

you do touch us all.

Many of us hear and understand these very depths.  The courageous heart will rise the turn of tides.

These words are powerful and certainly don't seem too "eluded" or "dried up!"

You're still strong,
and you'll make it.
Just hang on...
and keep writing.

Always, Alyssa

Dear Sue:  I'm sorry you are feeling depressed.  I know we all have these feelings sometimes and fortunately, they do pass.  Hoping for a hppier tomorrow!
