The Book

Just read a book of three small words
All it said was “You were heard.”
I closed the lid and thought awhile
My ID was struck, my face a smile

I looked for author’s vanity
And found it signed humanity
I noticed that the book was worn
The single page tattered and torn

And they’re upon the back were signs
Tear drops old with salt of brine
I knew this book was read before
Had made its way from door to door

And then I knew what I must do
Pass it to my neighbors view
And hold the lesson learned that day
To help me pass along the way

And peace has rested by my side
Since that book has touched abide.

Morning Sy guy!
Well I'll say one thing..
you most certainly have been heard.
And, I don't know what I would do
without 'hearing'
your words of wisdom each and every day.
Beautiful piece this early morn.

This needs the issuance
of a hanky alert,
if one reads slowly,
and caresses each single word.

You were heard.
