Another of those nights,
Shaken awake by the devil of worry.
After three hours rest it disturbs me,
One- fifty-seven, digital numbers
Like the eye-shine of satin,
Glow red from the stand by my bed.
*
The ghosts of things,
Some started, some done
Friends puzzled by silent phones
Have I abandoned them?
Certainly not in my thoughts, yet
They must feel so, my mind staggers
Under weight it would bear,
If those good friends were lost.
*
Bills and weather,
That makes them unpayable
Problems explained,
I'll call them tomorrow
Children out on dangerous roads,
Their fun makes me nervous
I need traquilizers,
So I bring up the link
That takes me to passions....
*
Down the list of sorrow and joy
Word pictures conjuring
Happy/sad images,
Of loves on the rise
Some asundering
Musical tales, magically told
Of G(o)od's and of (d)evil's
Reading them two fold-
things begin happening,
Because I have entered
Anothers reality
Words become lullabies,
Exciting yet tiresome,
Making me sleepy;
Good night to all,
And thank you for being.

*BIG smiles*

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.

When dreams don't prevail...

Words become lullabies, indeed they do!

Enjoyed your thoughts,  ford~

You shared your sleepless night very nicely.
Better come on Pip than take the tranquilizers!
Wishing you serenity.
Love, Margherita

Yes, this is the place to be when those wheels start turning.  You know someone is always out there doing the same thing.  Try writing in a journal, too, during those times.  You might be surprised what you find.... Gosh, look at all these voices of experience!   ~K~

Yanno Ford..this place does make you feel that way.
This is a wonderful piece ..love it!
I too come here at times for the same reasons.

ice,
In this post I felt the turmoil
turn into warm fuzzies!
Thought this line was interesting
"Of G(o)od's and of (d)evil's"
and I'll ask for your permission
to use your words
"And thank you for being."
to express my thoughts.
Nicely done.

Sometime we just need to take a deep breath and chew of a little piece of life and just do the best we can.  Great write!

The opposites attract and
crash
into eachother,
a magnificant explosion of miscreation.
The maze is too complex, confusion spreads
around.

a small shot glass of wine before retiring usually helps...this was a magnificant explosion of words...very much enjoyed.
