Coconuts

Don't mean to create a panic or cause a fuss
but last night me and my girlfriend were relaxing
on the shores of Waikiki and a spaceship
landed in the water right in front of us.
In what seemed like only a moment two
creatures stood before us on the sand.
They spoke to us in a language
that neither of us could understand.
I offered one a coke and he drank
it in one gulp and then he threw
the empty can on the sand.
That made me mad so I chased
him up a coconut tree.
He made it to the top and
he started throwing
coconuts down at me.
I thought that I was
under a coconut attack,
until his friend started
grabbing coconuts and
putting them in a big sack.
Seems they only wanted coconuts,
this was not a threatening alien invasion,
it was more like an amusing situation.
They picked all they wanted and
headed back to their ship.
Seemed like they took enough
coconuts to fill two starships.
We waved Aloha and said we
hope you've enjoyed your trip.
We thought we heard them say
Maholo as they were about to depart.
When they blasted off they waved
goodbye with green fingertips
that glow in the dark.

Enjoyed the whimsy, James...

"Maholo"?

Is that thank you?
