~*~

Restless stir of waters welling
As remembered through my veins
In a half caught breeze I swallowed
Ever all of this remains

A stolen glance remitted
Comes forth in frilly wave
Had caught off guard so vibrant
And bathed the shores concave

And swept away in tickle
That gently soaked your cuffs
What has kept us at a distance
Gathered up in foamy roughs

Yet kept returning eager
This sculpt of friendly fringe
As I am such a dreamer
These surfs so nearly singe

While somehow in a respite
That took you far from view
Beneath the rippled vestment
Breathless morns complacent cue

That calls me to the shoreline
By eternal touch and feel
There continues to be dancing
To the waves these depths conceal

And on the surface gleaming
Slips my palms in cool delight
Albeit mindless seeming
The articulate of slight

In these tides of truth so telling
Through me now as just before
Is your vision so compelling
That I dream and thirst the shore

I love rhythm. Rhythm is what makes poetry poetry. It is what makes free verse poetry. Of all the elements that define "poetry", I love rhythm.

Your poem has rhythm. It has lots of rhythm... it has a GREAT rhythm. I like it. I like it a LOT.

Did I mention I like rhythm?

But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is I'm the only one!

Every line of this is wonderful, but my favorite stanza is the 4th one.

*BRAVO*

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
