Listening to every heart

Your Regrets

You, all boyish charm,
charismatic dazzle,
inwardly, your motto being,
live for today
tomorrow will take care
of us.

It did not work out
quite that way.

Philandering swings closed
so many doors…

are regrets yours, now,
knowing you took me on
with catch phrases ~

only to watch me
leave
you
alone?

Yes, it is true, I do
ponder a question
of does he live?
only when eyeing your seed;

funny, how transplants work
so well
in foreign soil…

If you hear it
on the wind,
I do not hate you
any more…

it was too close
to love.

OMG!!  Speechless here..
Hugging you tight....Sis.

To have lived the dream of a love so true...
is to have seen a glimpse of heaven.

Gah! Speechless, here! The venom is sweet and the poison somehow brings life before death. I do love this, and I'm saving it.

Karilea

"If you hear it
on the wind,
I do not hate you
any more…"

I feel healing in these words that bite...and the beginning of forgiving.

Karilea, I think we must have known the same man!  I was married to the one I don't hate anymore for 9 years and do not know where he is and whether he is alive or dead.  That was a long time ago.  Enjoyed your lovely writing and really do so identify with it.   .......jo
