Between the Lines

At A Mind's Pace *

They come, the words before my eyes
Exposed in write at this mind's pace.
I leave behind the trail to lead
Sweet wanderings between the space

Of lines and blanks of how I feel
In moderation, dreams I stake.
Serenity to pass the night,
A reign of warmth from which I take

To hearten passion's kisses, free,
To voice what lips alone can't say.
Enticed to play the rhythm's tunes
And dawn the mourning of my stay.

I place the pace of words afore
The walk of talk prepared in thought.
Minced at times, to flavor save
those days of feelings overwrought.

The sun shines daily in this life
If only deep within my soul
To comfort me when gloom has shown
And tried to down this half of whole.

Those passing shadows reach to touch,
Armed in understanding words.
But it is He who holds my faith
And takes away the pain unheard.

This struggle is, and wills to be
The better part of strength to gain.
I keep this diamond, memories of
To reinforce "what is remains".

If I profess or claim to be,
Asserting each for all to see
It is but I, a mind's pace flow
Each step in walking, a stride in know.

M

Isn't it funny how when we write that our inner-most feelings seem to just fall onto the page? great write
