+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+
Among lost hills in mystic times,
Rang ancient bells in soulful chimes,
Celtic folk swayed 'round the tower,
Drinking in the lunar power.

Haunting chants in sing-song rhyming,
Leaving bodies with spirits climbing,
To touch the face of Mother Moon,
In rapturous state they spin and swoon.

The lunar glow lit up the night,
Casting evil into the Light,
Cleansing spirits and the land,
To cure all ails of beast and man.

Garlands thrown in gay profusion,
Marking end of mass confusion,
Manna for the Lunar Queen,
Who reigns above in peace, serene.

Among lost hills in mystic times,
Rang ancient bells in soulful chimes,
Celtic folk swayed 'round the tower,
Drinking in the lunar power.

I'm really not one for rhyme schemes myself, but this one sincerely caught my attention and I was just dumbfounded as what to reply! Of course I meant dumbfounded in a good way... is there a good way to say that? :P

quote:

The lunar glow lit up the night,
Casting evil into the Light,
Cleansing spirits and the land,
To cure all ails of beast and man.

Wow... This stanza, to me, is not only touching but deep within spiritus of all.

Going back through trying to catch up on the ones I missed. Excellent verse. I loved it.

I believe the most important component of a poem is rhythm. Rhythm is the heartbeat of a poem. It is what makes poetry poetry.

I am so glad I decided to take today off from packing. I have read some incredible poems today and 'twisted one,' this is right at the top. I keep coming back and reading it and love it more each time.

You inspired me to write a small poem to go with a picture I took while in NH last weekend for the house inspection. It's called, "Tranquility."

Love ya!
