Poetry of Gold

My heart once again in high spirits, to see your poem stories told
Written of themes hidden in your mind, and pondered in your soul
In print for compelling exam, free, open, not one bought or sold.

Translated, questioned, searched-out through each word and line
Irresistible taste, tastes of rainbows, each color’s new rhyme,
all painted flavors for the heart, opened eyes, and for pleasing the mind.

Where do you find these words to mingle as gold dust so pure and so fine?
How do you weave and stitch such beauty from a fabric not seen in its time?
The sweetness in you wells up to its ebb, and then flows out gentle wined rhyme.

If I could shield you from others who have not a care, if I might be so bold,
but your reflections in poetry, is for all, even those careless need be told,
so they too, can taste a rainbow, and be warmed, by your poetry of gold.

May I print it, frame it, hang it over my head?
I would love to have my husband see this... treasure.

Because it may not be how I write?
But most certainly, JL, it is how I feel!!!

I do believe, that you yourself just wrote some "Poetry of Gold", dear poet!

It takes a fine appreciation of the poetry of others to be able to write fine poetry one's self!

This was simply golden!

Wow!  I am overwhelmed with the wonderful replies.  This is indeed dedicated to all poets everywhere.  But the true motivation for the words came from several writers and poets whom I have had the pleasure to read their writings, here and on other sites as well.  Inspiration for this is from Lee J, Rene (Zippi), and Bonnie J.  However, I must admit the talent on this site is very motivating.  Sunshine, yes, by all means copy, and print.  I am honored, thanks.
