>. . . there was a time, long since now, that I Knew all light had died and I was alone in the darkest of the dark; I felt much like this back then . . .

Something To Believe

I prayed last night,
but the tears wouldn't come.
Just the anguish,
the dying,
and still…I couldn't cry.
I felt so hurt,
so far away,
so alone,
so bad.
I felt,
oh God,
let me cry.
But the tears wouldn't come.
I wanted to pack my bags,
load up my car,
and run,
and run some more,
till I came to the end,
to a wall that wouldn't fall,
to a place that wouldn't leave,
to a something that would always be.
I wanted to live.
I wanted to cry.
Oh God, I wanted to cry,
yet my eyes stayed dry.
If ever I was given a task,
something to believe,
something to hold,
something to have…
oh my,
oh my,
God,
why?

W. James Beard, Jr.

. . . and the day came, the hour, the minute, the second - unexpectedly, and I found myself feeling like this, and have never stopped, will never let myself stop again, no matter what!

Because Of You

When one sees
but never saw,
touches,
but never feels,
hears,
but only sound,
one knows life,
but doesn't live.
But when one loves,
it's with his soul he sees,
his heart he touches,
and his life he hears.
It's all the glory,
and the sorrow,
the joy's,
and the pain,
the fullness of everything
that has ever been.
I see,
I feel,
and I hear,
wonders beyond all I ever dreamed,
all I could ever want,
all I could ever need
and I love,
as I have never loved before . . .
because of you.

w. james beard, jr.

...it's this we live for and wait for and pray for, and it will come.

What a compassionate soul you are.
Wonderful write Jimmy...and I know Dixie will love it.
Hugs and happy Easter.
