Shall I sit with you, With words pouring out like the wine, But of a vintage not which I wish to pour, Shall I tell to you, Of the arbor roses that begin to climb To touch the sky with bloom once more, Shall I touch to you Brushing my hand in accidental pass, Hoping to feel the softness of your skin Shall I walk with you Each carrying a half full wine glass Sipping slow so that the time won’t end Shall I then leave you Ending the night outside your door Empty like a my glass longing for your wine Gloom |
