Not sure these days where my meaning comes
Not sure yesterday either as I ponder
Just where does me get defined and sold
I really wonder just being so bold
What is it that makes me tick
Some may think I am a stick
But just why do I continue
Grandpa doings do make me tingle
Working days don’t define much of me
Writing is a special find
It exercises my being and mind
But what is me my being asks
Am I a dad a spouse a child
Yes to all those over many miles
But they are important
In making me as me
But what is the glue
That surrounds me
Is it knowable
Or do I flee

It is so good to read your thoughts again. I'm always asking myself the same, what makes me me? Changing the subject, from one of your responses that you wrote to me I learned that we are practically neighbors. I probably rode my ten speed on the road you drive to work! Small world isn't it! I had identified with your work before, but now even better! Take care,

I was just discussing the identity crisis with a friend too.

You summed it up nicely, Paul (albeit from a perspective different than mine)

but maybe that's the point.
