Swapping

I swapped a skies aura’s view
Took a trail of rainbows hue
Saw the treasure of my mind
Who could know that I was blind?

I left the heaven of my day
Walked the rainbow all the way
Did not find a treasures gold
Found a peacock cold and old

The treasure was a mirrors view
Of something worn and full of rue
A view of misty vanity
Reflections of insanity

The eyes were hollow full of pain
Compressions of a one-way lane
The dance macabre danced a fife
Of wasted time that was a life

For I have played the game of pride
And now became its loving bride.

I got so scared Sy when I got to this part..
"The treasure was a mirrors view
Of something worn and full of rue
A view of misty vanity
Reflections of insanity"
I thought you'd written a verse about me  and early morning rising........

Relieved I went on to read that it was just another good poem by Sy Tabin and not telling the truth about Eric.....
Thanks

Eric

Happy spring morning, Sir Tumbleweed!

I do believe that you have ample reason to be as proud as a peacock ~ and one that is warm and with a spirit as young as the babe that you are!

May you find a pot of gold and happiness at every rainbows end!

Loves 'n hugs,
EA

We've got to keep Randy from barking
up the wrong tree, Sy...it's a beautiful
day and you're still writing poetry...

that's all I need to start my day right!

Thank you for your many gifts!

I really enjoyed your imagery.  The mood, well, I enjoyed it too but it left me with tens of questions.  You can't know how much your writing is valued and enjoyed.  Good morning to you.
