If chosen differently, would my hand wrap around charcoal
To produce simple, contrasting line
With shades sifting just so, to hint the human soul?

Would I have lived years there, instead of here,
Missing grazing and raising of animals
as they model unity, completeness, softness?

There, I can readily imagine falling into conversations
About rhythm, form, and shape with people of the trade,
Totally immersed, exchanging loneliness to fulfilled sensations.

Here, though isolated from community of artistic stimulation
I think it is my place of being, of seeing how nature lives
That inspires me to dream I’m a painter without any limitations.

Beautiful..

"I'm a painter without any limitations"
This part really made me think
it was a very philosophical line!

I loved the way that this
poem simply evolved and
took a wander into dreamland

Sweet one...

Anything is possible, so long as we believe in it.

Love your work Sadie~

Wow wonderfully expressed ...I used to love painting through my growing up years but had low self-esteem all my life and family just put me down instead of encouraging ....years and years later the writing began to help build the self esteem .... now my visions go into words

Sadelite...I read you and see many contrasting images within your words. Simple at times and able to change in a second to serrious and very intune with yourself. Enjoyed very much...Paul

This made me think
of cave drawings, Sadie...
when one person first thought
to leave behind
what they saw.

I am VERY impressed.
