Listening to every heart

Grateful Shadows

Do come, thus to link light to dark
From trance arises this forgotten spark
Of what once was, in romantic dream
Of all that binds in woven seams

Pluck up thy quill and tend once more
To all blue shadows beyond yon door
Through the mirrors, beyond the mist
As sealed throughout with most ardent kiss

Write then of times that seamed our souls
When love was real and made one whole
Wherein trees would hold the all of us
In memory now we are but a trust

Hold in the grail all that will live
Hold in the shadows the gifts that give

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

definitely touches the romantic heart with a sweet and gentle caress

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Karilea...elegantly written, so soft and tender.

Sunshine,
How can you consistently capture me in your words, transporting me to different times, and sinking me within them?  You have tremendous grace in writing.  Enjoyed.

"through the mirrors, beyond the mist"
This line blew me away.
It has so many meanings and
made me think for a while
which is an accomplishment
by anyones standards!

...I like to think that it means,
look beyond first impression.
Look really hard and you'll
see the truth.

Excellent write

Whence was thy time of maiden's prance
before the ball of elegant dance.
As windward waves wash o'er the sand
and two might walk of hand in hand.

Wherein the heart does lie the love
beyond the mist, the flight of dove.
Beyond the sky and starlit sight
upon a steed,  one cherished knight.
