there are colder things
than ice and snow,
a heart
that beats indifferent

it threatens to subdue
and in my weakness,
a desperate want to succumb

to loosen the hold
and sink into the depths
                   again

Ahhh Bello...Amazing m'friend.

I'm keeping it

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.

You're writing is warm however
as it melted my heart a little!

There is such emotion in this poem.
You tell tales from the heart.

Well done!

There certainly are colder things and this is a good concise description.

Raph,

a heart
that beats indifferent

....to loosen the hold
and sink into the depths
                   again

argh, those last lines made my stomach sink...i know a man who makes me feel this way. ha ha. hm, his title begins with D and ends in d. can you guess?
There's nothing worse than this. As i read this I envisioned something you told me the other day, so it was doubly effective!

is doubly a word?

hugs. chin up.

First, do not think for a minute that I didn't notice your return!!!!!!

oh happy day!!!

Second,

"there are colder things
than ice and snow,
a heart
that beats indifferent"

Literally made my heart skip a beat with understanding...

Very, very cool.

Welcome home!
