Oh! How the first small wrinkle stung.
And too the first gray hair.
To gaze upon my image
And see them glowing there.
But soon they had a group of friends
These small disgusting signs,
Then more and more and more and more
Graying hair and lines.
And Oh! What’s this!
A liver spot…please give me a break!
I’m watching myself fall apart
Piece by piece for heaven’s sake.
Thank god my vision’s going,
At least my eyes won’t see
What’s left behind for me to find
After time and gravity.
I’m moving slower now-a-days,
I walk instead of run.
I’m getting out less frequently
And having much less fun.
My aches and pains are numerous
It’s difficult to move.
What’s next, for me
A eulogy… to get me in the groove?
Oh well! That’s how it goes, I guess,
So says the looking-glass,
Don’t fret your own demise my friend
Because, this too shall pass.

The last couple lines wrapped this up nicely.
